Anyone convicted by court remains an ex-convict — Police PRO

In a stern advisory issued today, the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, emphasised that individuals convicted by the court, irrespective of sentencing terms, retain the status of “ex-convict” under the law.

Taking to his official X platform, he wrote, “LEGAL MATTER: Anyone who has been convicted by the court, whether with jail term or fine, or both remains an ex-convict. Be law-abiding and avoid it. Ire oo.”
