A former Nigerian ambassador to the United States , Israel , and Cyprus, Prof. George Obiozor , has emerged President General of the Igbo socio -cultural group , Ohanaeze Ndigbo, The Punch is reporting.
Obiozor emerged in an election held at Dan Anyim stadium in Owerri , the Imo state capital , on Sunday .
This is as other candidates for the position of the President General boycotted the election .
A Board of Trustee member representing Rivers State at Ohanaeze Ndigbo , Dr Jackson Omenazu, who spoke to newsmen at the venue of the election , declared the process that brought Obiozor to power as fraudulent.
