The video where black soldiers are gyrating for foreign soldiers on Tuesday went viral on X platform,(formerly Twitter).
The country name of the foreign soldiers cannot be ascertained as at time of fact checking this.
In a 30 second video, a verified X user, www.KRAKS.co @kraskTv posted and captioned it “The Nigerian army showing the Uk army how to gyrate. 🤣.
The 30 second video which was posted by www.KRAKS.co around 1:52pm on Tuesday 27 February 2024, (Nigerian Time), has gained 19.5k views, 24 reposts, 146 likes, 9 quotes and 23 bookmarks.
ALSO, an verified X user named ITA @itarex posted the same video with caption, “The Nigerian army showing the Uk army how to gyrate. 😭.
The video has reached over 480k views, 1,302 reposts, 280 quotes, 4,977 likes and 800 bookmarks.

FINDINGS
However checks by CrimeFacts news showed that the video first appeared online on February on 25, 2024 at 9:19am.
The video first posted on X by EDHUB @eddie_wrt, was captioned “Ghana soldiers impress their foreign counterparts with energetic jama songs”.
The post attracted 193k views, 2,800 likes, 413 reposts, 281 bookmarks and 85 quotes.
Also, in a report by an online newspaper named MyInFogh, captioned it, Ghanaian soldiers impress foreign counterparts with their energetic jama songs
According to the report, a video of some military men showcasing their Jama prowess to their foreign military counterparts has surfaced online.
“In the video, the soldiers are seen singing and dancing to various jama tunes.
“The spirited performances have captivated audiences and highlighted the cultural richness of Ghana’s military personnel.
“Jama songs are songs characterized by rhythmic drumming, vibrant singing, and enthusiastic dancing.
“These songs are often performed during social gatherings, celebrations, and military events, serving as a source of unity and camaraderie among soldiers.”
When the official X handle of the Nigerian Army was searched, the video was no where to be found there.
VERDICT: After checks and findings, we concluded that the video of Nigerian soldiers gyrating for foreign soldiers is unproven.
