On the 7th of October, 2023 Hamas militants staged the worst-ever attack on Israel.

On that fateful day, hundreds of Hamas fighters infiltrated Israel. The unprecedented attack resulted in the deaths of 1,205 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally of Israeli official figures.

Gunmen rampaged through southern communities massacring some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting 251 to Gaza.

Israel responded with a military campaign to topple the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip, destroy the terror group, and free the hostages.
