National association of Nigeria of students ( NANS) have continued to fall the hands of students in Nigeria despite being more like a right agitating group for students.
Two months ago,I made a Facebook Post withdrawing my ultimate respect for them. Currently the national authorities of NANS is manipulated by whom it concerns in a bid to discredit the convener of #Revolutionnow & the publisher of Sahara Reporters,Omoyele Sowore.
The group waited for manners to fall from heaven to embarking on an industrial action against continued deceitful closure of schools in Nigeria over their fiction of pandemic .
In July early, I opinioned for schools to resume .at that time all sector of the economy have resurrected fully to normal .
Really, NANS has not proved to become a responsible to advocate for the betterment of the Nigeria students. They are only there for self enrichment.
The FG announced plans to hike tariffs in fuel and electricity prices .NANS was the first to arrange for a peace action against the new fuel and electricity prices. But what happened some days later got me off card when it public relations officer (PRO) Azeez Adeyemi denied organizing the said protest.
Well,this goes long way to show the betrayal in them as a body. What can students do when it body has turned away from their function to become beggars who now drink from the dregs of evil politicians in Nigeria.
The special anti robbery squad (F-SARS) for more than a decade have continued to hunt,intimidate and harass Nigerians students arbitrarily. Nigerians for the first time took to the streets and cites in Nigeria to protest for an immediate end to #policebrutality.
This time, NANS again showed their high level of treachery and sellout in the Good path of Nigeria students.
In q statement by Azzez Adeyemi ,he said, ” “The activities of the police, not only that of the special anti-robbery squad should be reformed for optimal performance, but we must take precautions and be careful about the way we go about it.
“Information at our disposal revealed that some hoodlums have already hijacked the nationwide protest in a bid to cause chaos and throw the country into crisis.
“We are also aware that some internet fraudsters in a bid to continue perpetrating their criminal acts are mobilizing hoodlums to protest against the activities of FSARS who have been clamping down on them.
“We want to call the attention of the Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mohammed Adamu to the plans of these criminals and their devilish plans,” Adeyemi said.
He added: ”The I-G ordered that men of the FSARS should no longer conduct checks neither should they mount roadblocks but the people behind these protests are not satisfied with this.
“The police should not hesitate to arrest and prosecute anyone caught disturbing the peace of the public or causing violence all in the name of protest.
“We call on Nigerian students and youths, in general, to always be law-abiding and not to allow anybody or groups to use them for their selfish interests,” he said.
To this end, I knew that NANS is no longer students affair rather a place for embezzlement and it will be getting rid of by students just like trending call to end accused of body of FSARS .
