I have clinically read much about the numerous imaginary but frightening reports and vicariously induced anxiety paddled by some irredeemable conspiracy theorists concerning the Oxford Astrazeneca Vaccine.
In as much as it is important to ask questions and engage on a due diligence, it is not irresponsible to know why some people are so riled up about this Astrazeneca Vaccine.
Over 17 million people have received the vaccine with minimum cases of blood clot and minor symptoms globally.
This is far less than the average population expected to have blood clots.
In USA for instance, there is an annual recorded history of 300, 000-600, 000 blood clots cases which is about 1000-2000 cases per day. Therefore, the cases of blood clots reporting is within what is expected naturally.
Before the vaccine is administered, side effects are mentioned to enable patients make an informed consent. I urge all and sundry to take the vaccine as it does not kill.
To put things in proper perspective, there are known side effects for Panadol as highlighted by medical formulary.
“Abdominal pain, Abnormal vision, Agranulocytosis, Allergic reaction, Anaphylactic reaction, Anaphylactic shock, Angioedema, Blood dyscrasias, Bronchospasm, Changes in heptic function, confusion, Depression, Diarrhoea, Dizziness, Erythema multiforme, Haemolytic anaemia, Haemorrhage, Hallucination, Headache, Hepatic disorders, Hepatic failure, Hepatitis, Hepatotoxicity, Hypoglycemia, Interstitial nephritis, Jaundice, Leucopenia, Liver damage, Malaise, Nausea, Neutropenia, Oedema, Pancytopenia, Papillary necrosis, Pruritus, Purpura, Pyrexia, Rash, Renal impairment, Sedation, Stevens-johnson syndrome, Sweating, Thrombocytopenia, Toxic epidermal necrolysis, Tremor, Urticaria, Vertigo and Vomiting”.
Some of the above Panadol-associated illnesses are very scary but very uncommon. So, why can you not be vaccinated for few symptoms and get yourself immuned from the novel coronavirus pandemic ravaging the World?
There are allergic reactions to shrimps and peanuts. One main reason why 81mg aspirin is recommended for people with history of high blood pressure after 40 is clot and transmission in the blood systems know as thromboembolism.
People will go under emergency surgery without batting an eye and thinking about anesthetic drugs well documented for various adverse effects.
Please, get vaccinated and do not be deceived.
