A human rights activist and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku, has described the late Yinka Odumakin who was the former spokesman of the Pan-Yoruba sociocultural group otherwise Afenifere, as a man of consistently consistency and a detribalised leader.
“Human rights communities in Nigeria and beyond are mourning unbearably. His premature death is unimaginably unthinkable. I mourn with all.
“The Core Federalists forum which he founded and which am privileged to be a participant misses him as a consistently consistent activist who is responsible and maturely reliable in his identified features and philosophy.
“It is still illusionary to believe that Uncle Yinka has passed on.
“He was a brave but courageous man who helped me relish the spirit in human rights movement.
“Uncle Yinka made me understand the variables in human rights struggle.
“He motivated, strengthened, embraced and encouraged me despite my weaknesses.
“During my last interaction with him, I was compelled to develop more insightful knowledge on public cognition essential for promotion and achievement of stable and harmonious human relations for mutual understanding, tolerance and peace.
“Uncle Yinka, your dream for a restructured and self-determination Nigeria shall soon be accomplished.
“Rest in peace Uncle Yinka”, activist Paul wrote.
