The Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa has resigned his appointment with effect from 15th April, 2022
The decision followed his desire to contest in the forth coming gubernatorial election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The resignation was contained in a press statement issued by the Director of Press to the Secretary to the Government of the State, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, on Thursday.
According to the statement, the SGS expressed profound gratitude for the singular honour and privilege given to him since 2015 to date to serve the state by the Katsina Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, giving him the opportunity to offer his humble and modest contributions in serving the Governor, Government and good people of Katsina State as Secretary to Government of the State.
The outgoing SGS in the statement prayed to Almighty Allah to further strengthen the Governor Masari led administration in this final last lap of its tenure.
Dr Inuwa also thanked the entire people of the State for their continued support and cooperation being extended to him as well as the APC government in the State.
In response, the state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari accepted the resignation with effect from 15th) April, 2022.
According to the statement, the Governor’s acceptance letter reads in part:
“I hereby wish to refer to your letter No. SGKT/ADM/PER/1775/VOL.II/44 dated 15th April, 2022 in which you forwarded your resignation of appointment as Secretary to the Government of the State with effect from 15th April, 2022.
“As a result of the above, I wish to inform you that I have accepted your resignation with effect from 15th April, 2022.
“The Governor, on behalf of the Government and people of the State expressed deepest appreciation for the services which Mustapha Inuwa rendered as Secretary to the Government of the State from 2015 to date,” praying for his success in future endeavours.
