A man, Ogaga Kome, 26, has been arrested for allegedly killing an 11-year old, Hossanna Merritt, while testing a locally made gun in his house.
The incident happened on Monday in Ozoro, Isoko North council area of Delta State.
The suspect reportedly fled after the incident.
Police spokesman Bright Edafe said Kome was arrested on Tuesday when “a well-meaning individual, who is also a relative of the suspect, brought him to the station.
“Investigation is ongoing,” he said in a statement.
