The Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, Professor Onyemachi Ogbulu, has summoned parents and guardians to a town hall meeting.
This was contained in a statement signed by the school’s registrar, Acho Elendu, titled, ‘Invitation to Town Hall Meeting with Parents and Guardians Of ABSU Students’.
In the statement dated February 4, 2022, the “important” town hall meeting is scheduled to be held at the University Auditorium on Thursday, February 10, 2022, by 11 am.
Part of the statement read, “It will be expedient for all parents and guardians to attend, as crucial decisions would be taken in the interest of their children, wares and the University.
“All COVID-19 protocols will be strictly observed. All should be seated by 10.30 am.”
Earlier in the week, the university banned students from using personal vehicles on campus.
It was contained in a statement titled, ‘Abia State University Management Bans Students From Driving Personal Vehicles On Campus’.
The statement partly read, “Management of Abia State University, Uturu, has banned the use of personal vehicles by students and flagrant display of wealth on campus.
“Henceforth, only staff and accredited visitors will be allowed to drive their vehicles into the campus.”
