Post Date : October 26, 2023

A former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has frowned at what he described as “one-sided appointment” by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Asari who was reacting to the utterance of Sheikh Ahmed Gumi against FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, said that Nigeria belongs to everyone and anyone has the right to be a minister in the federal capital territory.

He reminded Gumi that he’s an ordinary parasite in Abuja and Wike has the right to talk because money from Ikwere land was used to build the new FCT.

He went further to advise Gumi that he’s free to criticize the president but it should be put in proper perspective and not hide under religion, adding that like him, he has a problem with the appointments going on so far.

“The appointment that’s going on is one-sided, we must speak out”, Asari said in a video posted on social media on Wednesday.

Continuing, the ex-militant reminded the president he supported vehemently in the February 25th poll that “this is not Lagos and the president most know that the path he’s following in making appointments as if Nigeria is for Lagos alone is dangerous, he already has a lot of problems, we know and we must point them out.

Asari wondered why someone like Bosun Tijani whom he said rained abuses on the president be in this government.

He advised the president to look back at these appointments and make amends.

“The president should look back at the appointment and wisely retrace them and balance them because Nigeria belongs to all of and doesn’t belong to Femi Gbajabiamila or Bola Tinubu or Asari Dokubo alone.
