Post Date : December 16, 2020

Bauchi State Governor , Bala Mohammed, has said he is under pressure to probe former administrations particularly his predecessor, Mohammed Abubakar .

He also stated that former governors in the state will be buried politically because of the legacies he will leave behind at the end of his administration.

He stated these in his speech at the flag -off of the construction of four roads by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, and Sokoto State governor , Aminu Tambuwal , on Wednesday in Bauchi .

Mohammed said , “ People have been asking me where I have been getting the money with which I am executing projects , there is a lot of resources in government coffers and in the government treasury . The only thing that we are not doing is the judicious use of this money and to make sure that this money is not being carried away by selfishness .

“ There have been a lot of agitations for me to start probing the last administrations but I know government is a dynamic process .

“ What I will do is to work and work with little resources for people to see and probe them and for them to know that definitely, somehow, there was a problem.

“ These monies were being taken somewhere and they will be ashamed and they will be buried politically because they have shot themselves on the foot and their conscience , ”

The governor added that: “ The evidence of what we are doing will definitely put them to shame and to probity and accountability, but certainly, what we are doing is not a miracle and the monies we would have used the same way is what we are using and we are improving our IGR and we are blocking the leakages. ”
