A middle-aged man in Bauchi state, Khamees Darazo who could not hide his love for Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, on Saturday fulfilled the promise he made when he publicly and formally renamed his 2-year-old first daughter, Hauwa, to President Bola Tinubu’s mother, Abibatu.

He made the announcement during a special Walimat (ceremony) he organised with his friends, held at Double 4 Event Center, Bauchi, explaining that the action is his way of showing unwavering support and loyalty to President Bola Tinubu.

According to him, “My first show of support for the President began when I dedicated my entire NYSC allowance, while serving in Gombe State, to bolster the President’s campaign efforts in the build-up to the 2023 presidential election.”

He stressed the gesture was not motivated by a desire for personal gains or political favours or patronage but rather, “a reflection of my deep-seated confidence in the President’s vision and leadership for Nigeria’s path to prosperity. I am a very successful businessman.”

He also disclosed that he actively engaged the communities of Gombe and Bauchi states, advocating for their support and votes for the President in the February 2023 elections.

Darazo noted that after the victory of the President at both the polls and the election petition tribunal, he kept praying for him to succeed in the Apex court which was made possible by the will of Allah.

Darazo, who appreciated God for the victory of President Tinubu in all the post-election litigations, described the renaming occasion as a “significant moment of celebration in my life.”

According to him, “In a heartfelt tribute, I have renamed my dear daughter, Hauwa to Abibatu, after President Tinubu’s mother. This decision reflects more than mere admiration; it is a homage to the matriarch of a leader, a tribute to the upbringing of a president.”

The young businessman further explained that in renaming his daughter, Abibatu, he has vowed to nurture her with the “essence of perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to serving others.”

He stressed, “I want to emphasize that my support for President Bola Tinubu transcends any form of material exchange. I am very able to take care of my family through my legitimate hussle.”

The young man insisted that his support and loyalty to the President is rooted in a firm belief in his ability and capability to turn things around positively for Nigeria and Nigerians in not a distant time.

He added that he has not sought nor received any political favours in return, not even from the Bauchi State chapter of the APC members or the Executives members as he relies on his legitimate struggles to survive.

According to him, “My dedication is solely to Nigeria’s progress, to the hope of a better tomorrow, and to the leadership that will guide us there.”

He therefore urged Nigerians to join hands across the nation with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration at it is committed to changing the narrative of the country to a better and stronger democracy and economy
