BREAKING: Gunmen abduct mother of Kogi governor’s Chief of Staff

Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the mother of the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Jamiu Asuku.

She was said to have been abducted Monday evening from her residence in Adavi Local Government Area of the state.

A resident of Inese/Ovakere New Layout in Nagazi community, Adavi LGA, where Asuku’s mother, Mrs Seriya Raji resided, told our correspondent that the gunmen stormed her residence at around 7.40pm, shortly after she attended the Muslim evening prayer in the mosque within her residence.

The masked abductors, according to the source, were six in number, dressed in black suits, and hele Ghana Must Go bags, suspected to have contained weapons.

The source added that they accessed her house through the mosque and whisked her away in a car.
