Alex Otti of the Labour Party is an early lead as the Independent National Electoral Commission has announced results of Ten out of the 17 Local Government Areas results in the Saturday’s governorship election in Abia State.
From the results collated, Otti polled 65, 974 votes while his closest rival, Okay Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party got 52, 842 votes.
The LGAs INEC has collated results are
Umunneochi, Ukwa East , Ukwa West
Bende, Ikwuano, Arochukwu, and while Isialangwa North and Ugwunagbor are suspended.
Others are Isialangwa south and Isuikwuato
The LGAs that had not been announced are Aba North, Aba South, Obingwa ,Ohafia, Osisioma, Umuahia North and
Umuahia South.
The state Retuning officer announced that the collation would resume at 6pm
