The Comptroller General of the Nigerian immigration Service (NIS) Muhammadu Babandede retired on Friday.
Babandede, who was appointed the Comptroller General of the NIS on May 15, 2016, retired after spending 36 years in Service.
The Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Finance and Account, Idris Isah Jere, took over from him in acting capacity pending an appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at a brief ceremony organised for his retirement, Babandede expressed happiness that he left the service better than he met it.
