Gunmen have reportedly killed a commercial tricycle operator in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State.
The incident, our reporter gathered, occurred at the popular Ukaegbu junction in Aba North Local Government Area along the ever-busy Aba-Ikot Ekpene Expressway.
The gunmen were said to have shot the young male driver of the tricycle on his head severally and made sure that he died before they left the scene.
It was gathered that shop owners and bystanders at the bus stop were taken by surprise as they scampered for safety when they heard the sound of a gun, not knowing where it was coming from.

Gunmen have reportedly killed a commercial tricycle operator in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State.
The incident, our reporter gathered, occurred at the popular Ukaegbu junction in Aba North Local Government Area along the ever-busy Aba-Ikot Ekpene Expressway.
The gunmen were said to have shot the young male driver of the tricycle on his head severally and made sure that he died before they left the scene.
It was gathered that shop owners and bystanders at the bus stop were taken by surprise as they scampered for safety when they heard the sound of a gun, not knowing where it was coming from.

It was later that they discovered it was some passengers of another commercial tricycle that arrived the bus stop shortly before the incident that carried out the operation.
A woman at the bus stop was said to have lost consciousness while she joined others to scamper for safety as her Blood Pressure triggered off.
Sources at the scene stated that the gunmen went unchallenged by the eyewitnesses.
They said that the incident which took place around 5pm on Monday caused heavy gridlock on the road as many people want to catch a glimpse of the scene.
It was gathered it took the intervention of a police team to evacuate the body of the deceased and his tricycle from the scene to enable free flow of traffic.
