The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed a recent attack on Kwapre community in Hong Local Government Area of the state.
The attack, which occurred on Monday (Christmas day), was carried out by gunmen.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed this to newsmen in Yola on Tuesday.
He said investigation into the incident had commenced and the Commissioner of Police, Babatola Afolabi, had deployed officers to the area.
Speaking to newsmen, the District Head of Dugwaba, Mr. Simon Buba, confirmed that two persons were killed during the attack.
He further stated that the gunmen were believed to be Boko Haram members.
They reportedly invaded the community on motorcycles, carted away food items and quickly fled towards Sambisa Forest.
The police spokesperson urged the general public to report any suspicious characters to the police and other security agencies to ensure security in the state and the country at large.
