Man who trekked to celebrate Buhari in 2015 ‘seeks assistance over limb pains

Dahiru Buba, the man who said he trekked from Gombe to Abuja to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in 2015, is seeking financial assistance to treat limb pains.

According to Daily Trust, the native of Dukku local government area of Gombe said he only got a certificate for his feat in 2015.

He appealed to Inuwa Yahaya, governor of Gombe, and other stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to come to his aid.

“Since the time I trekked, the limb pain has been growing by the day. I am appealing to my governor, Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State and the party leadership to help me look for medical assistance,” he was quoted to have said.

Buba reportedly said life is becoming unbearable for him as the pain persists.

He added that the hardship is such that he cannot even pay his children’s school fees.

Buhari’s victory was widely celebrated in 2015 and one different people said they marched to Abuja from different parts of the country.
