The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has hailed the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
The Court of Appeal on Thursday, declared the rendition of Kanu from Kenya as illegal, thus, discharged and acquitted the IPOB Leader.
The leader of MASSOB, Comr. Uchenna Madu in a statement made available to JOURNALIST101, described the order of the court as a “stepping progress towards Biafra actualization and restoration,” and ” a triumph of light over darkness.”
Madu directed the Department of State Services, DSS to “quickly obey the order of the appellate court.”
The statement reads:
“The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB described Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”s discharged and acquitted by Abuja court as a stepping progress towards Biafra actualization and restoration. It is a triumph of light over darkness.
“His release has opened a new dimension to Biafra struggle which must continue to be anchored on non violence, mutual understanding and unity of purpose.
“As Nnamdi Kanu is being discharged from DSS detention, MASSOB will continue with other progressive groups and individuals to press further for the release of other pro Biafra detainees across Nigeria prisons.
“Though the people of Biafra are celebrating all over the world, our most desired Joy is independence of Biafra sovereignty from Nigeria state.
“MASSOB warned the DSS to quickly obey the order of the appellate court.”
