NCC Chairman, Dr. Tonye Jaja hiresFalana, others To Challenge His Alleged Attempted Unlawful Removal From Office

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), Dr. Tonye Clinton Jaja, has hired the services of the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Kanu Agabi and Mr. Femi Falana, SAN to challenge his allege attempted illegal removal from office.

Jaja, in a letter of instruction, addressed to the prominent Senior Advocates of Nigeria sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), said the attempted removal is not in compliance with the Copyright Act, 1999 and other relevant Rules and Regulations

Furthermore, he said he was never informed of committing any misconduct or crime to warrant his removal.

According to him, there is an ongoing investigation against the Director-General of the NCC, Mr. John Assein, as a result of which he (Jaja) was invited to volunteer a statement. Because of his position in the statement, Mr. Asein and others have been attacking him (Jaja)
