The Peoples Democratic Party has cleared the Chief Of Staff to the governor of Abia State, Okey Ahiwe, Bob Ogu and Eric Opah for the party’s rerun Abia State governorship election on Saturday.
The rerun primary election is because of the death of the party’s governorship candidate, Uche Ikonne.
The three cleared aspirants are from Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, the LGA the party micro zoned the ticket to.
While many said that Ahiwe is the preferred aspirant of the governor, other sources said that the emergence of the two other aspirants might cause an upset.
Opah is the founder of Fortune Global Shipping & Logistics Limited and Fortune Marine & Energy Services Limited while Ogu is the immediate past Commissioner for works in the state.
