The Ministry of Works has proposed a budget of N2 billion for the purchase of official vehicles for Senior Special Advisers (SSAs) in the 2025 fiscal year.
This proposal is included in the 2025 budget currently before the National Assembly for scrutiny and approval.
President Bola Tinubu presented the 2025 budget, titled “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity,” to legislators in Abuja last week.
The N2 billion allocation is part of a larger sum of N2,475,000,000 (Two Billion Four Hundred and Seventy-Five Million Naira) designated under the sub-head “Purchase of Motor Vehicles.”
Another sub-head, “Provision of Operational/Safety Vehicles,” includes a proposal of N120,000,000 (One Hundred and Twenty Million Naira).
Additionally, the budget allocates N42,670,000 (Forty-Two Million Six Hundred and Seventy Thousand Naira) for a “Visibility Programme/Media on Federal Government Roads Construction” for ongoing projects.
Furthermore, N10,000,000 is earmarked under the Economic Recovery Growth Programme (ERGP) for the “Rehabilitation of Boreholes and Tanks at the Minister’s Block” to provide water for the Ministry’s headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja, for the 2025 fiscal year.
