Ex-KADPOLY Lecturer Shoots Wife, Kills Self

A ormer Principal Lecturer with the Department of Languages, Kaduna Polytechnic, Mr. Austin Umerah has killed himself at his residence at Kigo road in Kaduna.

Daily Trust gathered that Umerah had shot his wife, Dr. Maurin Umerah a part time lecturer at Department of Languages Kaduna State University (KASU) before killing himself.

His wife is currently receiving treatment at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna.

Daily Trust learnt that the incident took place on Wednesday at 10pm.

Meanwhile the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Barau Dikko mortuary.

Details of the incident are however still sketchy.

The police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident.
