Teenager Remanded For Defiling Girl

A 15-year-old boy was on Thursday arraigned before an Ikeja magistrates’ court for defiling a 12-year-old girl.

The Magistrate, Mrs Ejiro Kubeinje, did not take the plea of the accused and ordered that he should be kept at the Federal Correctional Centre for Boys at Adigbe, Abeokuta, pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, and adjourned the case to June 28.

Earlier, the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that the teenager committed the offence on May 15, on Akanni Showunmj Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos.

DSP Ajayi said the teenager defiled the girl by inserting his manhood into her private part in contravention of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

According to the prosecutor, the girl’s mother reported the case to the police. (NAN)
