Suspected IPOB members on Monday evening killed four policemen and a Point of Sale operator on the Ontisha Road area of Owerri, Imo state.
It was gathered that the fleeing gunmen opened fire where the cops were doing a-stop- and – search duty at AA Rano and Gbobal fuel stations areas of the Road.
Four cops and a POS operator was confirmed dead in the attack as the non state actors fled unchallenged.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the aftermath, with the lifeless bodies of the five victims, including the young POS operator who was at her post when the attack occurred.
This horrifying event has left the community in shock and mourning.
The spokesman for the police in the state, Henry Okoye had yet to respond to inquiries concerning the incident.
