BREAKING: Obiano’s aides resign, pledge loyalty to Umeoji

Senior Aides to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state have resigned their job ahead of the November 6 governorship election, Crimefacts.news reports.

Crimefacts.news gathered that loyalists of the Governor have pledged support to the governorship candidate of  All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)Hon Chukwuma Umeoji.

The Senior Special Assistant  (SSA) to the Governor on legal matters Mr Chika Ekwenugo and his counter part for works Nwachukwu Okpaloka confirmed their resignation at the weekend to Crimefacts.news, insisting that their decision to dump the Governor was long overdue .

The duo who were until last week Friday loyal members of governor Obiano camp were reported to have since joined the campaign train of the authentic governorship candidate of the ruling APGA in the state Hon Umeoji.

Bar Ekwenugo in chart with newsman in Abuja however commended the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)for not succumbing to pressure to drop Umeoji on Friday.
 
He described the emergency of Umeoji as the party flagbearer  in the November 6 election as a major political victory for the good people of Anambra state .

Ekwenugo also appealed to the Governor and other stakeholders to join hands to deliver the party’s candidate in order to fast track real development in the state and consolidate ongoing one .

Sources have revealed to Crimefacts.news that more serving Aides to Governor Obiano have perfected plans to pitch tent with the party’s flagbearer for the November 6 governorship election in the state  .

” Over 90 serving Aides to Governor Obiano were alleged to have secretly pledged their locality to Hon Umeoji, because they believe that his emergency is the best thing that have happened to APGA in the state, the source said.

Already over 12 members of the state House of Assembly including Hon Timothy  Ifedioranma (representing Njikoka 1),the chief Whip Ezeudu, awka North Reps etc have joined Umeoji’s campaign ,describing his emergency as APGA governorship candidste as victory for democracy and good people of Anambra state.

Crimefacts.news had reported how the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) excluded the former CBN gov, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on Friday.
