Passengers Escape Into The Bush As Terrorists Burn Vehicles In Broad Daylight

 

Terrorists have attacked a convoy and set ablaze about eight vehicles along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Highway, Daily Trust report.

The details of the incident are sketchy but a community leader, Muhammadu Umaru, told Daily Trust that many people were abducted.

“We heard about 8 vehicles were set ablaze by the terrorists that attacked the convoy of cars from Manini to Kurega village along the highway. Many people were abducted but we are afraid to visit the scene,” he said.

Another resident of Kurega, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that eight vehicles while some of the people inside the vehicles ran into the bush.

“The cars were attacked by the terrorists on their way to Kaduna at a place called Tashar Ayuba before kurega-Manini area. We don’t know the actual number of people abducted because nobody dared to visit there,” he said.

State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, couldn’t be reached for comment as calls to his phone remain unanswered.
