POS operator shot dead by gunmen in Ebonyi

 

Gunmen have killed a Point of Sales (POS) operator, Louis Enoshi, in Ebonyi state.

Enoshi was a native of Umuogudu-Akpu, Ngbo in the Ohaukwu local government area of the state.

According to sources in the area, unidentified armed individuals raided his residence in Ezzamgbo within an unspecified LGA at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, demanding money.

He was said to have been shot and killed during the incident.

The assailants also stole the victim’s mobile phone, cash, and POS machine.

The source said: “At the early hours of today, 28th February 2024, at about 2 am; Mr. Enoshi Louis, a native of Ndiagu Orie of Umuogudu-Akpu Ngbo, was shot in his residence at Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA; Ebonyi State, by unidentified armed persons.

“He died on the spot, they made away with his Firstmonie POS, physical cash, and phones. Leaving the wife who is pregnant with two kids devastated.”

Spokesperson of the Police in Ebonyi, Joshua Ụkandu could not be reached for comments as at the time of this report.
