Two policemen and a pedestrian have been killed after gunmen attack at Ahiara junction in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday afternoon.
For the third time, in three days, Mbaise council areas have become a killing avenue for gunmen.
Source told our correspondent on Monday afternoon that two police officers and a civilian were killed in the latest attack.
Our correspondent is yet to verify this as at press time, but in a video seen, two police officers were on the ground, one dead , the other fatally injured.
The Imo State police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, is yet to react to this incident as at time of filling this report.
Recall that on Friday, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP ward chairman in Ezinihite Mbaise council area was brutally shot dead by unidentified hoodlums.
Also on Saturday, a traditional ruler was found dead in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Areas after being abducted by gunmen from his palace in Ezinihite.
