Women protest against INEC in Owerri.

 

Women in their hundreds took a peaceful protest to the office of the independent national electoral commission INEC headquarters in Owerri, to demand the release of the certified true copy CTC and allow opposition party inspect the materials used for the November 11 governorship election in Imo State.

The women who came from the 3senatorial zones in the state, were seen carrying various play card depicting their demands.
They call on resident electoral commissioner Prof Sylvia Agu to provide the IREV results.

Similarly the candidate of the people’s democratic party PDP, in the just concluded governorship election held in Imo State, sen Samuel Anyanwu, says he will take every legitimate means to recover his mandate.

He also noted that, there’s a calculated attempt by electoral umpire the frustrate their bid to challenge the election at the tribunal.
