A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Chioma Okoli, the Lagos resident standing trial for conspiracy and cyberstalking over her review of a tomato mix produced by Erisco Foods Limited.

The conditions, FIJ gathered, include a bail bond of N5 million, two sureties in like sum, one of which must be a spouse or blood relative, and two passport photographs. The defendant must also deposit her international passport with the court.

Okoli appeared in court on Friday morning after spending days in a prison in the Suleja area of Abuja.

Inibehe Effiong, Okoli’s lawyer, earlier claimed the reviewer suffered a miscarriage during the course of the prosecution.

The case has been adjourned until June 13, 2024, for trial.
