O.E.F Endorses Okiro,Ex-IG,Fsc For Ohaneze Ndigbo President General

Ex-Inspector General of Police (IG), and former Chairman of Police Service Commission (PSC), Chief Mike Okiro, has been endorsed as the next President General of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation,, the Ohaneze Ndigbo World wide by the Ohaneze Elders Forum who has monitored his activities in the last 30 years.

The group said Okiro who rose from the rank to the prestigious and highest position in the Nigerian Police and the first person to become IGP and PSC in the annal of Nigeria Police history is eminently qualified to lead Ndigbo at this critical time of national our history.

In the statement signed by the National chairman of the group,High Chief Igwe Uzoma Anunihu and Chief Simon Okechukwu (Ogbuefi) Protein Chairman and Secretary respectively, they said Okiro left a big legacy in both offices that are yet to be equalled by anybody.

His experience, and human relations during these periods he held the, they said while in both offices would help in uniting and bringing Ndigbo and non Igbo’s together this time.

They described Okiro as a “detribalised Igbo who will deploy his experiences to build bridges between Ndigbo and other ethnic nationalities in the country”.

The group appealed to Ndigbo to throw their weight behind this top cop and gentleman who has seen it all in course of his distinguished career in the Nigerian Police Force, saying that the former IG would bring to bear his experiences as former IG and Chairman of PSC.

Okiro hails from Egbema part of Rivers State and it is the turn of the part Area to produce the next President General of the apex Socio-cultural organisation of Ndigbo Worldwide.
