Claim
An X user, @Palermo_seun, shared a video showing the Nigerian military inspecting weapons, alongside the claim that the weapons were newly procured by the military.
Verdict

This claim is MISLEADING. Findings show that the video was from the study tour visit to Proforce Limited by the Nigerian Army War College in March. It has nothing to do with the procurement of new military weapons.

No country in the Sahel is now secure after the spike in attacks by armed terrorist groups in recent times.
Like Mali, Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Nigeria, military operatives continue to pay the price of having to defeat these terrorists, even with outdated or inadequate military hardware and weapons.
As the fight against insurgency seems far from ending, a Nigerian X user, @Palermo_seun, has posted a video of Nigerian military officers inspecting some military weapons.
The X user posted the video with a caption that reads, “The Nigerian Armed Forces are now better equipped than ever before.”
The post, which has generated over 6k views and hundreds of likes, had comments which disagreed with the statement, “Nothing is new in this video, the Nigerian army has been using APC armoured vehicles for decades.”
Verification
FactWatch Nigeria subjected a screenshot of part of the clip to Google Lens, which led us to a similar video posted by a blog, Nigerian_Military_Cruis on Facebook last month.
Further search indicates that it was Proforce Limited that hosted the Nigerian Army War College for a study tour.
A check on Proforce Limited’s social media pages on LinkedIn and Instagram confirmed this to be true.
Proforce Limited shared the video and a caption:Strategic collaboration is key to solving modern security challenges
We were honoured to host the Nigerian Army War College for a high-level study tour, where we demonstrated how advanced space and satellite technologies can support mission planning and enhance situational awareness.
Through a simulated operational scenario, we showcased how our software solutions empower decision-makers with real-time intelligence and strategic clarity.
At Proforce Galaxies, we remain committed to enabling defence institutions with innovative tools that strengthen national security.

Conclusion
The clip shared by the X user was from the Nigerian Army War College study tour in March, not the acquisition of new military weapons.
