Deal With Secessionists, Buhari Support Groups Tell FG

The Forum of Buhari Support Groups (FBSG) yesterday urged the Federal Government to deal with those agitating for the break -up of the country under the guise of defending ethnic interests.

The forum’s interim national chairman, Dr Abido Kabir, at a press conference after the maiden meeting of the forum in Abuja, condemned the resurgence of ethnic warlords from parts of the nation engaging in agitations for secession. He said the meeting reviewed the situation in the country, including the security challenges.

While commending the efforts of the Buhari administration in tackling the challenges, he expressed concern that government’s efforts to resolve those challenges were being thwarted by enemies within in collaboration with external forces that did not wish Nigeria well.

According to him, in spite of all the distractions by enemies of the country, the forum is confident that that if given support, President Buhari will effectively handle all the challenges facing the country.

He said the forum would strengthen its support for the administration as it strives to lay a solid and enduring template for good governance in the country.
