Nigeria Police Headquarters in Imo State came under Heavy attack as there were heavy exchange of fire for over three hours before the facilities was bombed.jointed the list of flash points of insecurity with the attack on the security facilities.
According to sources, the Nigeria Correctional Service, Owerri was not also spared as there was jail brake with the facility torched.

Attackers came in a convoy of more than 10 vehicles
Believed to be Armed with rocket launchers and grenade
They freed suspects in police cells
Freed inmates in prison detention

When Crimefacts.news contracted Imo police spokesperson, Orlando confirmed the incident. But he said only criminal investigation department (CID) area was burnt and inmates freed.
He said investigation is ongoing.
