Three suspected robbers were on Saturday burnt to death by a mob at Orlu in Imo State.
Eyewitnesses said they were caught robbing traders and shot on the legs by security operatives to prevent them from escaping.
It was learnt residents descended on the suspects and set them ablaze based on insinuations they may be set freed.

The suspects, the witness said “were beaten to stupor and burnt alive.”
Reacting, Commissioner of Police Abutu Yaro said the suspects were lynched before the police patrol team arrived the scene.
He condemned the barbaric act and advised members of the public and communities to always hand over suspects to the police for proper investigation and prosecution instead of taking the laws into their hands.
