Tensions continue to rise as suspected IPOB militias killed three people and burnt three vehicles at Ahiara junction, Mbaise in Imo state.
Crimefacts.news gathered that the incident happened in the early hours on Monday
Recall that IPOB has issued a sit-at-home order in the Southeast till the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu
A source who spoke to Crimefacts.news on the of anonymity said three vehicles loaded with passengers were travelling from Umuahia to Owerri before they were stopped and attacked by suspected IPOB members at Nkwogwugwu Ahiara junction
“Two Lybra buses and a Siena were burnt to ashes while many passengers flee, “the source said.
But in a video seem by Crimefacts.news, a man believed to be the driver was shot dead and two passengers burnt alive.
When Crimefacts.news contracted police spokesperson in Imo, Mike Abattam confirmed the incident. He said that investigations are ongoing.
