Maduabum said the meeting was summoned by Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto and chairman of the PDP governors forum.

TheCable understands that the meeting is scheduled to hold at the Akwa Ibom governors’ lodge in Abuja on Thursday.

The crisis rocking the main opposition party took a new twist on Monday.

A high court sitting in Rivers state granted an interim order restraining Uche Secondus from parading himself as the national chairman of the party.

Subsequently, Yemi Akinwonmi, deputy national chairman (south) of the party stepped in as the acting chairman of the party and suspended the national working committee (NWC).

But just three hours later, Nazif Sulieman, deputy national chairman (North), also announced himself as the acting chairman of the party.
