“My Father Is Hale And Hearty’ – Soyinka’s Son Debunks Death Rumours

Ilemakin Soyinka, son of Nobel Laureate and playwright, Wole Soyinka, has denied reports claiming that his father is dead.
Naija News gathered that since last week, social media has been awash with reports that the Nobel Laureate had died.
One such report was posted on a Twitter account supposedly belonging to the winner of the 2021 Nobel prize for literature, Abdulrazak Gurna.
The tweet, which has now been deleted, had attracted numerous comments from users, while some expressed their condolences to the Soyinka family.
But in an interview with TheCable, Ilemakin Soyinka said his father is alive, urging the general public to disregard the rumours.
“The rumour has been going around since last week. Soyinka is alive when last I checked,” he said.
