Post Date : April 8, 2022

As the primaries draw near, delegates have been advised to vote wisely. This was part of issues raised in a Youth gathering hosted by concerned Igbo-Eze North Youths.

Igbo-Eze North/Udenu federal Constituency, needs a leader with well articulated thoughts and action backed by the depth of knowledge that exceptional leaders are known for.

In many quarters, it has been observed that 2023 won’t be like any other election year, therefore the Delegates should represent the interest of the masses.

The Convener and the CEO CHIDO CARGO AND MARITIME LOGISTICS SERVICES LIMITED and Founder ” GBURUGBURU IS A GOAL” support group Mr Chidozie Collins Idoko charged Delegates to play according to their conscience and let them have it at the back of their minds that if one must go to equity, he must go with clean hands.

In the words of Mandy Hale, ” “Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong” he quoted.

“There are changes and there are strategic changes”.
Change is what happens whether you like it or not and the reaction of people towards it, like we are seeing today”. According to Mr Idoko ,Strategic change is purposeful and intentional .

A Youth,Joe Abugu stated that “Leaders don’t tell others what to do but demonstrate it well to the extent of yielding extraordinary results that others become excited to follow their example and that’s Prince Emeka Mamah for you”.

We the youths Constituency are poised to see the kind of change we yearn for.

“If you think holding a position of authority is what makes you a Leader, you may never become one. And if you think not holding a position of authority does not make you a leader, you may never become one”, therefore we want someone who we can all vouch for.

Similarly, a young mother, Mrs Edith Ugwueze expressed suprise that many people who are voted into the corridors of power end up dis-empowering the people they are meant to lead, aiming to amass power instead of empowering others.

She went further to state that some of them gradually become a thorn in the flesh of their people, while aiming to enrich themselves instead of enriching the people who voted them in.

Those who attended the strategic meeting included students, Artisans, market men and women and others.
