Students Block Highway, Protest ASUU Strike

 

Students across Universities in Ondo state have blocked the Ilesha/Akure highway, Ondo state, to protest the continues strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in the country.

Reports says the protesters cuts across students from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and Olusegun Agagu University of Technology, Okitipupa.

The students blocked the highway, displaying placards and chanting solidarity songs, to show their displeasure over the lingering strike.

As at the time of this report motorists have been stranded on the road for hours.
