Chief Joshua Mba who hails from umuedenwede Anyiaba family of Umuiba village, a rural town of ancient kingdom of Nara Unateze Clan, in Nkanu-East LGA of Enugu State.
Attended his primary and secondary schools education in Nara Unateze.
He holds a bachelor of Law (LL.B) and also Masters of Law ( LL.M) from University of Lagos.
Chief Mba a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrator- United Kingdom(UK).
He was a branch manager of Acil International Co-operative Insurance LTD and had also worked with the famous American International Insurance Co. LTD.
Despite his national and international celebrated achievements in the field of law, business and as a Philanthropist with a high social profile across the society,
Chief Joshua Mba has touched lives, across the senatorial district and beyond.
Starting from his days as a youth, where he derives pleasure in lending a helping hands to those in need.
He built a cottage house for a widow, and her children who had no roof over her head .
Furthermore, in 2011, he built a modern classroom block, furnished with standard furniture in Obeagu Umuiba Primary School, which he donated to the community. This classroom block was thereafter, renovated in 2015 and officially inaugurated by Governor Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi, ably represented by the State Commissioner for Education, Enugu State on January 7, 2016.
For many years, Chief Mbah has undertaken various rural roads grading, repairs and maintenance.
In 2015, he graded all roads of Umuiba Akam and the major interlink roads from orie market square, through Umueze in umuawalagu Autonomous Community, Nara.
Also ,Chief Mbah has contributed heavily to the community electrical project, which is yet to be realised.
He reconstructed the connection bridge over Ogbuogba stream, the shortest gateway to Nkanu East from the southern communities of Nara, Mburubu, Nomeh, and Nkerefi.
He has supported various church projects, including;
-St. Pius Catholic Church, Abego,
-Methodist Church, Onuorie Nara Unateze
-Assemblies of God Church and host of others.
Chief Mba contributed to the education of many youths both at secondary schools and university level of some brilliant and indigent students, and he also set up a foundation to devote more resources and energy in youth development, empowerment, Scholarship and eradication of poverty.
In 2011, he joined politics, after being convinced that participation in politics is a variable channel for serving his people and to bring government to rural areas that lack modern development, and touch of civilisation. After a brief sojourn with People’s Democratic for Change (PDC), under the leadership of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, he joined the mainstream politics in Enugu State, under People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Since then, He has been Supporting the party to win landslide both in 2011 and 2015 general election in Enugu State, which has made his influence felt politically, both in the State and Nkanu East LGA.
He has in plan, to use his wealth of experience, to represent Enugu-East Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly to attract more academic opportunities, and provide more work opportunities to the youths, and to attract more development to our district.
