The Centre for Innovative, Pragmatic and Development Initiative (CIPDI) has condemned Sunday terrorists attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, headquarters of Owo local government area of Ondo state.
The terrorists had dropped explosives on the Church, located close to the palace of the Olowo of Owo, killing scores of worshippers and injuring several others.
The president of CIPDI, Mr Ifeanyi Nwanoro in a statement on Monday, condemned the dastardly act and called on security agencies to, not only apprehend the perpetrators but also bring them to book.
“CIPDI condemns the terrorist attack on the people of Owo Kingdom in Ondo state. The killing of Parishioners is senseless and void of human reasoning.
“We call on the security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
“Our prayers and thoughts go out to the families of the dead and injured. Let’s keep the people of Ondo in our prayers as well as those who were abducted in Abuja and parts of Katsina yesterday.
“GOD bless and protect the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the statement reads.
