Oziza FM, a radio station owned by the Catholic archdiocese of Owerri has been shut down by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

Our correspondent is yet to confirm the reason for the closure of the station as at time of filling this report.

But a presenter of the station, Nonso Uba said Imo government used the NBC to close down the Radio station for exposing Ebubeagu killings in Imo.

He said, “For exposing the Imo state government’s lies against the slain Otulu youths; they used NBC to shut Ozisa Fm Owerri down”.

Another presenter of Oziza FM, Amb Pope Saviola Gudwyn said, “Because we dared to report the #AwomamaMassacr, brought relatives of the slain youths on air and make you the people know the crystal clear truth, NBC shut down Ozisa 96.1 Fm Owerri.

“I and NonsoNkwa are targets as we’ve always been.

“Ozisa Fm remains the RADIO STATION OF THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE.
