The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has raised alarm that the president, Muhammadu Buhari is preparing Nigeria for a coup d’état.
Sowore’s alarm is coming on the heels of the escalated insecurity situation in the Nation’s capital perpetrated by bandits and terrorists.
After the bloody invasion of the Kuje Prison, the Nation’s seat of power has come under sustained attack.
On July 25th, three elite security officers suffered severe injuries while three were fatally wounded after Boko Haram terrorists attacked the Presidential Guards Brigade in an ambush.
The security concern took a different dimension on Wednesday when some senators walked out on the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, after he refused the Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda, to allow them (opposition Senators) to lead the motion on the impeachment of the President, Muhammadu Buhari.
In the same direction, Sowore in a tweet on Thursday said that everything points to an eminent coup in the country.
