A driver identified as Atazamu Azaki and his conductor, Ayuba John, have been abducted by kidnappers from a farm in Chida community, Kwali Area Council of Abuja.
A resident of Chida community, Dangana Musa, said the incident happened at about 6pm on Thursday when the driver alongside his conductor went to load charcoal at the farm.
He said the kidnappers wielding sophisticated weapons appeared from the bush and whisked them away.
Dangana said the kidnappers later released the conductor to go home and inform the victim’s family members about the abduction and also raise money for ransom.
It would be recalled that last Saturday, a couple, Mr Sunday Odoma Ojarume and his wife, Mrs Janet Odoma Ojarume, were abducted at Sheda village in Kwali Area Council, but the kidnappers later released the victim’s wife to go home and source for ransom.
The spokesperson of the FCT police command, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to reply to a text message sent to her about the latest kidnap incident.
