Two governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, are currently in oil rich Rivers on the invitation of Governor Nyesom Wike as he (Wike) commences another rounds of project commissioning in the state.
They’re Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Engr. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State.
This is coming amidst speculations that the Rivers helmsman might not be supporting the presidential candidate of their party, Atiku Abubakar, whom he lost the Peoples Democratic Party’s ticket to.
The visit is in quick succession after the APC Governors visited Rivers state few weeks ago.
Commenting on the visit, an Aide to Governor Sanwo-Olu said “Rivers is looking good for now. Congratulations.”
In his speech while commissioning one of the projects, Sanwo-Olu commended his Rivers State counterpart for the project.
“I commissioned the Orochiri-Worukwo flyover in Port Harcourt today as the guest of HE Governor Nyesome Wike.
“This bridge is part of the infrastructural investment in urban renewal of the Garden City and I must commend Governor Wike for investments in the physical upgrade of the state capital and other critical infrastructural developments across the state.
“Orochiri-Worukwo Bridge constructed by the Wike-led administration will ease the movement of commuters within Port Harcourt and environs and improve the productivity of the people.”
