Police in Katsina say they have arrested an 18 year old boy for raping a 15 months old baby girl in Charanchi local government area of the state.
In a statement by the spokesman of the police Superintendent Gambo Isah, the incident occurred on March 9at about 11:am.
According to the statement, nemesis caught up with the suspect when he took the fifteen months old girl that was kept in his care by the mother of the baby, but instead took the baby into a room in their own house, being neighbors, and raped her.
Isah added that, as a result of the act, the victim was seriously injured and admitted at the General Hospital, Katsina.
