Many Nigerians in Benin Republic, especially males have been forced to return to Nigeria after the country’s citizens defrauded a French millionaire.
According to Sources, the Beninoise fraudsters duped the french millionaire with a doctored video of President Patrice Talon negotiating to selll Benin Republic Government properties worth millions of dollars to the frenchman.
It was learnt that the french millionaire paid huge undisclosed amount of money into the scammers account thinking he was dealing President Patrice Talon.
Discovering that it was blind deal which have also dragged the image of Benin Republic in the mud, the government ordered the security agencies in the country to burst out all fraudsters syndicate in their hideouts.
It was learnt that female Nigerians in Benin Republic are not targeted for arrest by the security agencies.
According to reports, anyone caught using tools for engaging in fraud or incomplete papers will be sentenced to five years imprisonment in Benin Republic.
Unconfirmed reports have claimed that the Beninoise suspects have been nabbed.
From all indications, majority of male Nigerians living in Benin Republic take Fraud as their main occupation.
It has been gathered that due to poor network coverage and inadequate electricity supply in Nigeria, many youths in Nigeria have migrated to African countries to gain these important amenities.
NIGERIANS IDENTIFIED
When asked a source if the Beninoise security agencies will differentiate between the citizens and Nigerians, he answered that male Nigerians can be easily identified as result of their neat dressing and expensive lifestyles.
NIGERIANS RETURN BY SEA
Crimefacts.newx has learnt that in order not to be captured by the Beninoise security agencies, running Nigerian men take the path of sea to return back.
As af 22 March 2023, Sources narrated that many Nigerian male crowd besieged the River bank in Benin Republic in order to travel by sea.
“The boats traveling to Lagos are becoming hard to found now. It is as of the Benin Republic government gave quit notice male Nigerians to leave the country.
The source said it is safer to travel by sea than the road. “It is very easy to come back to Nigeria by sea, security agencies won’t have to stop and search your papers”.
The source said traveling by sea back to Nigeria is more faster.
BENINISE POLICE CONTINUE TO BURST NIGERIAN HOMES
Crimefacts.news gathered that the security agencies in Benin Republic have continued to raid the home of Nigerians living the country especially in the cities of Cotonou and Porto-Novo.
Reports have revealed that to an extent, the security agencies conduct stop and search operations on the sea to identify Nigerians with incomplete papers.
BENINISES NOT HAPPY
Sources said with many male Nigerians returning back to thier country, Beninoise citizens have expressed sadness as the incident will aid to paralyze the country’s economy and businesses.
Unconfirmed reports revealed that citizens planning to protest over the development.
